Will I still be able to use my Instant Messaging program or Email account with your service? back to top
Our ISP is designed to allow you to use all forms of internet communication. Many ISP's, such as AOL, have instant messaging programs built into them. In this specific case you would need to download and install the AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) program to continue using that specific service. In most cases your screen name and passwords do not even need to change!
Many email providers allow you to use their service right from their homepage. Hotmail, MSN, and Yahoo are all good examples of this. In order to gain access to your old email you would simply logon with our service, go to the homepage, login, and check your old email account.

Yes, we have one of the largest list of access numbers in the USA, and you can freely roam across the continental US and chances are, we will have an access number where ever you may be.



Do I need to download software to access my account? back to top
No, it is recommended as it configures your email and connection for you. However, if you prefer, you can create a your own connection and set up your email manually. To assist you, we have listed instructions on our Help Page that will show you exactly how to get connected.



Do you offer highSpeed or DSL access? back to top
We do not offer DSL or Broadband access, however, we do have an alternative. Our Accelerated Dial-Up plan will accelerate your connection by up to 5 times! Click here for more information.



The access number in my area is the same as my previous ISP, why? back to top
It is common for ISP's in certain areas to share access points.



Can I use your Internet service if I have a Mac computer? back to top

What does the word "Unlimited" mean? back to top
Our unlimited offerings are unlimited NOT dedicated. They are meant to be unlimited while sitting in front of the computer surfing the Internet. Connections are not meant to be kept connected constantly while the end user may not even be home (ie. using ping software utilities). For example, the connections are not meant to be a 24 hour music download service for example. In general, ISP's can exist because they sell shared modem service which means that the modems can't be taken up ALL of the time by the same end users. If the modem is connected to one user virtually all of the time then the modem is not really shared at all, it's dedicated.
